Interfaces
CoordinatorDB exposes native TCP and optional HTTP. The Playground is a browser client of that HTTP interface.
State scope
A native connection retains its database selection, transaction and temporary tables. Each HTTP request creates a separate logical session. Browser tabs and notebook cells therefore do not share an open transaction merely because they use the same connection profile.
An embedded application opens the Connection API directly; it receives typed values and does not use the server's output formats or management commands.
