About Coordinator DB
Coordinator DB is a relational SQL database for storing, querying and updating structured data. Applications can use a managed server connection or open a database directly through the public embedded API.
Working with data
Use tables, constraints and transactions to maintain related records. SQL supports filtering, joins, grouped aggregates, window calculations and common table expressions. The type reference covers integer and decimal values, dates, text, JSON, arrays, tuples and maps.
Start with a small application dataset and check its actual queries against the reference. A familiar SQL statement or client from another database can have different behavior. Consult the documented syntax and supported interface before choosing a migration path.
Connecting an application
The server exposes a stateful native connection and an optional HTTP interface. The supplied client supports interactive SQL, scripted queries and local input files. HTTP requests can return a selected registered output format.
The embedded connection opens a file-backed or in-memory database within an application. Applications in separate processes should connect to a server when they need to access the same managed database.
