# Network ports

CoordinatorDB provides a native TCP listener and an optional HTTP listener. Both authenticate SQL access against the configured users file.

## Configuration

| Setting | Meaning |
| ------------- | ----------------------------------------------------- |
| `listen_host` | Listener host, default `127.0.0.1`. |
| `tcp_port` | Native TCP port, default `7400`. |
| `http_port` | Enables HTTP when configured; the sample uses `7401`. |

Port 0 asks the operating system to choose an available port. Startup output reports the resulting address.

`--addr HOST:PORT` overrides the native host and port together. `--http-addr HOST:PORT` independently overrides HTTP. Both listeners bind before the server announces that it is ready.

## Protocols

Use the supplied CoordinatorDB client for native TCP. No PostgreSQL, MySQL, interserver or metrics listener is provided. The HTTP listener serves SQL and the browser Playground.

There is no built-in TLS listener.
